The Airshow is being coordinated by the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications and the Royal Bahraini Air Force, in partnership with Farnborough International.

This initiative is part of the Supreme Committee’s commitment to ensuring the participation of talented national individuals in significant events within the Kingdom, particularly under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King.

The agreement is intended to offer students valuable training opportunities and hands-on experience in coordinating and overseeing major international events, such as the biennial Bahrain International Air Show. This event serves as a significant platform for professional development and gaining practical experience.

He mentioned that the event offers students the chance to gain valuable practical experiences in hospitality, tourism, and related fields, which will help enhance their skills and contribute to achieving Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.

In her remarks, Her Excellency Mrs. Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sarfi Minister of Tourism commended the collaboration with the Vatel College of Hospitality. She emphasized the college’s achievement in effectively training and preparing national professionals to meet global benchmarks. On this occasion, Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of Vatel College of Hospitality, conveyed his satisfaction with the college’s students taking part in this international event for the second consecutive year. He emphasised that the Bahrain International Airshow offers a valuable opportunity for students to develop practical skills in alignment with global standards. This is achieved through hands-on training that supports the growth of the hospitality, tourism, and hotel industry. He stated that the involvement of college students in coordinating the Airshow will showcase their abilities and high standards, thereby bolstering the reputation of Bahraini professionals. This in turn, plays a significant role in attracting international companies to Bahrain and facilitating the creation of lucrative job and training prospects for the youth of Bahrain.

This has contributed to increased attendance from local, regional, and international participants. The Airshow played a significant role in enhancing Bahrain’s status as a key regional and global hub for the aviation sector.
