30.05.2025

His Excellency Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, held a high-level planning meeting with senior officials from Farnborough International, the globally renowned organisers of the Farnborough International Airshow, marking the official launch of strategic preparations for the Bahrain International Airshow 2026.

Taking place from 18-20 November 2026, the Bahrain International Airshow is held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and under the supervision of His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and the Chairman of BIAS’ Supreme Organising Committee. The airshow is organised by the Bahrain Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and the Royal Bahraini Airforce in association with Farnborough International.

This critical engagement follows the directives of His Royal Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who has emphasised the importance of hosting a world-class event that reflects Bahrain’s growing prominence and partnerships in the global aviation landscape, an unwavering priority for the country. The meeting underscored the enduring partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, particularly in aviation and aerospace. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral ties through collaboration and knowledge exchange, with the airshow serving as a key platform to showcase innovation, investment opportunities, and global connectivity.

With a vision to be the world’s leading boutique airshow, Bahrain International Airshow offers regional and international organisations an unrivalled platform for building new partnerships and cementing existing ones. Cementing its position as one of the most respected and business-focused aviation events in the region, the Supreme Organising Committee is focused on reinforcing operational excellence, enhancing international participation, and expanding the airshow’s commercial and technological footprint. The Bahrain International Airshow 2026 will build upon the successes of its previous edition last year, which was the largest iteration of the airshow since launch, welcoming over 57,000 trade visitors from 83 countries and 226 civil and military delegations, alongside over 125 aircraft to Sakhir Air Base over three days. As preparations officially begin, stakeholders from across the international aviation community are invited to join Bahrain in shaping the future of aerospace through innovation, collaboration, and opportunity at the Bahrain International Airshow 2026.
