Endeavour Scholarship
Inspiring the next generation, influencing their careers, and giving them opportunities to form lifelong connections the Endeavour Scholarship offers Bahraini youth experiences to keep reaching for new horizons.
What is the Endeavour Scholarship?
An international education program designed to provide Bahraini youth with a hands-on astronaut training experience at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center’s renowned Space Camp in Huntsville.
The Endeavour Scholarship advocates for science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) education, encouraging students and educators to contribute to future developments in these fields.
Following the success of the program, we aim to continue expanding the Endeavour Scholarship and offer more students the opportunity to participate. At BIAS 2026, we look forward to hosting Kallman Worldwide, the organisers of the official U.S. national participation in leading international airshows, to extend this scholarship to another group of selected students.
Class of 2025
At the latest edition of the Bahrain International Airshow, Mission Team 21 was proudly selected in collaboration with NSSA Bahrain. The award ceremony was attended by H.E. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Transport and Telecommunications; Dr. Mohammed Al Aseeri, CEO of NSSA Bahrain; Tom Kallman, CEO of Kallman Worldwide; and H.E. Steven Bondy, U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, alongside industry leaders and Endeavour alumni.
In the summer of 2025, the scholarship recipients travelled to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Washington and Huntsville, Alabama, where they participated in hands-on astronaut training. The experience offered a wide range of skill-building opportunities, including teamwork, leadership development, and immersive educational programs.

The Endeavour Scholarship is more than a scholarship, it’s a transformative journey. It instills confidence, fosters teamwork, and nurtures a sense of global responsibility. When I see our students donning their Endeavour patches, I envision a future where Bahrain plays a pivotal role in space research and innovation.
The continuation of the scholarship is a testament to Bahrain’s commitment to nurturing young talent. It propels our youth toward the cosmos, encouraging them to reach for the stars and leave an indelible mark on humanity’s cosmic journey.

The program partners with national industry and education leaders to send “Mission Teams” from their countries to an all-expenses paid, week-long, hands-on astronaut training experience at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center’s Renowned Space Camp in Huntsville, AL.
The first team selected from Bahrain, Mission Team #4, was in 2020. In 2022, a second Bahraini team traveled to Washington, DC and Huntsville, AL for Space Camp in July 2023. They spent a weekend in our nation’s capital bonding with the other teams and then spent an action-packed week training like an astronaut.
Looking forward to 2025, we’re proud to partner with NSSA & BAS to bring another Bahraini team to Space Camp in July 2025. The selected winners will be celebrated at the Bahrain International Airshow 13-15 November 2024. Thank you to Dr. Mohamed E. Al-Aseeri, CEO of NSSA; and Yousif Mahmoud, Director General of Bahrain International Airshow, for their continued support and promotion of STEAM across the Kingdom of Bahrain.
