The Minister of Transport and Telecommunications signs with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bahrain Duty Free Company for the golden sponsorship of the Bahrain International Airshow 2024.
His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Thamer Al Kaabi, Minister of Transport and Telcommunications, and Mr. Farouk Al Moayyed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bahrain Duty Free Company, have officially signed a Golden sponsorship agreement for the Bahrain International Airshow.
The Airshow is scheduled at the Sakhir Air Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain from 13 – 15 November 2024 to be held under the royal patronage of His Excellency His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The Airshow is being coordinated by the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications and the Royal Bahraini Air Force, in partnership with Farnborough International.
On this occasion, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Thamer Al Kaabi, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, expressed his satisfaction in signing this agreement with Bahrain Duty Free Company. He highlighted the company’s role as a strategic partner in the advancement of the aviation sector in the Kingdom and its significant contributions to the Bahrain International Airshow in recent years. This sponsorship demonstrates the company’s commitment to supporting the initiatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications and emphasises the importance of this sector in fostering sustainable development for the Kingdom.
Mr. Farouk Yousef Almoayyed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Duty Free Company, expressed his enthusiasm for sponsoring this event. He highlighted the pride and honour that Bahrain Duty Free Company feel in participating in and supporting the Bahrain International Airshow. This event has consistently attracted major airline companies and a distinguished group of influential business leaders within the aviation industry. It has effectively strengthened the image of the Kingdom of Bahrain as a prominent and appealing destination in the region, positively impacting the overall aviation, travel, and tourism sectors, as a whole including the positive return on Bahrain Duty Free operations at Bahrain International Airport.
It is worth noting that the Airshow has been successful in securing sponsorship from elite Bahraini companies for the Bahrain International Airshow over the past six editions. This has contributed to increased attendance from local, regional, and international participants.
