For more than ten years, the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) has been a platform of business generation for the global leaders of aerospace in the gateway to the Gulf.

About

The Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) was established in 2010 to create a truly distinctive event. BIAS offers the industry a platform for high-level corporate hospitality, unique access to military and civil delegations, and showcasing technological innovations to potential buyers around the world.

The success of the inaugural edition, which took place 21-23 January 2010, established BIAS as one of the most influential and prestigious hospitality events in the region, with the show returning every two years to provide a world-class networking and business opportunity.

Celebrating a decade of distinction, BIAS returned in 2022 offering an exciting programme of new features, industry-leading content, and a first-class networking experience with key regional decision-makers. The show welcomed more than 46,000 visitors, 186 participating companies and 222 delegations, representing 59 countries and marked $1.85bn deals agreed.

The show returned 13-15 November 2024 to continue its journey, providing an unrivalled platform for innovative and personalised commercial networking in an environment driven by a commitment to achieving excellence in everything we do. The largest iteration since launch, BIAS 2024 welcomed over 57,000 trade visitors from 83 countries and 226 civil and military delegations to Sakhir Air Base over three days.

It is a great pleasure for my team and I to once again look forward to hosting the Bahrain International Airshow’s 2024 edition. With a momentum that perhaps has never been as high, we are planning a show that builds on a successful track record while giving impetus to the industry’s recovery and renewal. Our show is at the heart of one of the world’s fastest-growing aerospace markets; with a surge of aviation infrastructure investment having taken place in recent years, including most notably, the new Passenger Terminal at the Bahrain International Airport, which started operation in January 2021. This, coupled with our location as the gateway to the Gulf, makes the Bahrain International Airshow a strategic event on the aerospace calendar. With ongoing patronage from His Majesty the King, BIAS 2024 is once again a collaborative effort between the Bahrain Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications; the Royal Bahraini Air Force, and in association with Farnborough International, all of whom work closely with our partners and sponsors around the world to create an event that reflects industry demands and delivers success. BIAS Timeline

2010

The Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) was established and took place 21-23 January 2010.

2014

BIAS expanded in 2014, adding a brand-new exhibition hall showcasing businesses from across the aerospace and defence sectors, and curated conference programme.

2018

BIAS changed from its original slot in January to November to meet the demands of the show’s participants and the wider aerospace community.

2022

BIAS returned in 2022 to celebrate a decade of distinction, offeringan exciting programme of new features, industry-leading content, and a first-class networking experience with key regional decision-makers.

2024

Looking forward to the next 10 years and beyond by refreshing the brand identity through reaffirming the qualities that define BIAS.
